The spa at Mandapa is an intimate sanctuary, with six treatment rooms, including three for couples. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure a seamless connection with nature, as the rushing river provides a soothing soundtrack. The facility also boasts a relaxation lounge, saunas, a vitality pool, a yoga studio, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Guests can choose from a range of treatments, including standard massages and facials, as well as alternative practices and ancient therapies. I had the opportunity to try three treatments during my stay, including a prana kombi with local healer Ibu Ketut Mursi, which combines the use of bells and crystals to read energy and restore balance to the mind and body. While not for the faint of heart, this unique modality left me with a newfound appreciation for the power of energy work.

From morning yoga and watsu sessions to incense making, chakra balancing, gong baths, and sleep therapy, there's something for every interest and energy level.
The resort's commitment to sustainability is evident throughout, from its partnership with NGO Sungai Watch to clean and protect Bali's rivers to its recycling program with Soap for Hope. Guests can even participate in local wellness practices, such as melukat, a Balinese Hindu water-purification ritual, arranged through the hotel's vintage Volkswagen.
The on-site Kubu restaurant, a zero-waste concept, sources all ingredients from within 100 kilometers, ensuring a truly local dining experience.
