Summer's standouts: books, movies, music & more

As the dog days of summer officially kick in, many of us are playing catch-up on the year's most talked-about books, films, and albums while soaking up the sun.

Vogue's Deputy Editor Taylor Antrim and Senior Fashion Writer Hannah Jackson joined Chloe in the studio to break down the season's must-see works.

On the sports front, there's been no shortage of thrilling action, with wins for the Knicks, the WNBA season, Wimbledon, the World Cup, and the Tour de France. Taylor, who's been following the cycling circuit closely, has her eyes on Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard.

In theaters, horror fans rejoice as Vogue's resident scary movie buff Taylor Antrim highlights the summer's two genre box office smashers: 'Backrooms' and 'Obsession', both directed by up-and-coming talent. Honorable mentions go to Olivia Wilde's 'The Invite' and Jane Schoenbrun's 'Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma'. But perhaps the most eagerly anticipated release is Christopher Nolan's adaptation of 'The Odyssey' - 'it's a thinking person's blockbuster,' quips Taylor.

In the literary world, Chloe is excited about several titles recently reviewed or noted on Vogue.com. As for music, the pop girls are back and better than ever, with Olivia Rodrigo's 'You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love' being Hannah's favorite album yet, and the team counting down the days until new drops from Gracie Abrams, Charli XCX, and Phoebe Bridgers.
