Patchwork perfection

Hadid's 11th Met Gala appearance marked a return to her favorite Miu Miu streak, but with an unexpected twist. Initially inspired by the floral and flame embroidery of the brand's spring 2011 collection, the model realized the patchwork element wasn't quite sitting right on her body. So, she and the Miu Miu design team took a bold approach, combining the 2011 design with elements from the label's spring 1998 collection.

Starting with a sheer base reminiscent of '98, the team hand-placed patches inspired by '11 on Hadid's body in a celebratory, on-the-fly manner.
