Adding to the logistical considerations, William faced a juggling act managing three young children. “Catherine is there in an official capacity, she is working,” Jobson explained. “She has a role to perform, hands to shake, a trophy to present, and a great deal to focus on. That leaves William with the children.”
“Three at once is a lot. Two is manageable. One parent, two children who already know the form, is a far easier afternoon than one parent and three.” He noted that George, 12, and Charlotte, 11, had consistently demonstrated appropriate behavior at previous sporting events, earning them permission to join the Royal Box.
A future in the spotlight
Despite the absence, Jobson expressed confidence that Louis will soon be a regular fixture. “There is no exile here,” he asserted. “[Louis] has not been kept from the limelight. His parents have never hidden him away and they are not about to start.” He speculated that Louis’s youth prompted a temporary pause, suggesting the Family is simply allowing him to enjoy his interests before introducing him to the demands of public appearances.
Interestingly, Princess Catherine reportedly told a ball girl at Wimbledon that Louis had expressed a keen interest in becoming a court ball boy, sparking speculation about a potential future role within the royal Family. Jenna Fontanilla, of The Telegraph, relayed the conversation: “She told me about how Louis was asking her about how to become a ball boy, and we were talking about how much hard work it is to be on court and how we work alongside the ball kids, and it’s just so lovely.”
