Missed call ending reveals shocker: odile's mum behind katie's disappearance

Channel 5's new drama, Missed Call, had audiences on the edge of their seats as they tried to unravel the mystery of Katie Gleason's vanishing, but the twists and turns led to a stunning revelation.

Odile's mum, audrey, was the culprit all along

Despite many viewers believing Jason Bradley, played by Rupert Graves, was the shady character behind Katie's disappearance within the first five minutes, the true culprit turned out to be Odile Lambert's mother, Audrey.

Audrey's motive was driven by her anger over the lack of investigation into her own daughter's disappearance five years prior. She decided to abduct Katie, a British teenager on a school exchange in southern France, to spur authorities into reopening Odile's case.

Throughout the series, Jason was portrayed as a liar and multiple cheat, but he ultimately ended up a hero, coming back to help Sarah and Katie and dying in the process when he was shot.

The finale saw the police delve deeper into Odile's case, exposing Jerome Ricard, a police officer, as her killer in a drink-driving accident he had covered up. Ricard's partner, Serge Henin, was then framed for Odile's murder, and Jerome attempted to blackmail Virginie, Andrew Taylor's daughter, over a historic sexual assault investigation that had been dropped.

As the truth came to light, viewers learned that all the characters they had suspected of being involved in Katie's disappearance were simply red herrings, with Audrey being the mastermind behind it all.
