Prince George To Attend Eton College, School Issues 'No Photography' Warning

Prince George is set to begin secondary school in September, following in his father's footsteps and attending the prestigious Eton College. The school's annual fees exceed £60,000.

Eton College's History of Notable Alumni

Eton College has a long history of educating high-profile individuals. Prince George's uncle, Prince Harry, also attended Eton as a teenager. Other notable alumni include former Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and David Cameron, writers George Orwell and Ian Fleming, and actors Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston.

Ahead of George's arrival in September, the school has reportedly posted 'No Photography' signs around the site, a precaution given the young Prince is the most anticipated new student in decades.

Past Press Agreements and Privacy Concerns

Similar precautions and agreements with the press were established when Prince William joined Eton in 1995. At the time, the then-Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission stated, "Prince William is not an institution, nor a soap star, nor a football hero – he is a boy. In the next few years, perhaps the most important and sometimes painful part of his life, he will grow up and become a man." The press largely cooperated, allowing William to maintain a degree of privacy during his time at the school. It is anticipated that the royal family will be negotiating a similar agreement with the press and the school for Prince George.
