Flowerovlove opens up about her beauty secrets and haircare routine

Singer-songwriter Joyce Cisse, better known as Flowerovlove, has given an exclusive interview revealing her favorite Beauty products and tips.

Black beauty means family, motherhood, africa to her

When asked what black Beauty means to her, Flowerovlove explained, 'Black Beauty immediately just takes me to the incredible black women who have graced this earth before us, like Diana Ross, Grace Jones, Minnie Riperton - all those beautiful women. They are what has been displayed of black Beauty.' She went on to define it as 'family, it means motherhood, it means Africa, and it's so funny, it also means like the smell of cocoa butter.'

Her haircare routine is natural and holistic

Flowerovlove shared that she doesn't wash her hair very often, letting it 'bathe in the natural oils.' Instead, she washes it with rosemary and hibiscus water she prepares herself. She explained, 'Wash day for me is really fun because it's when I finally get to release the stress and the tension from my head, because our hair holds so much energy and stress.'

She swears by coconut oil for skincare

As for skincare, Flowerovlove admitted to being a fan of simplicity, stating, 'Skincare product you can't live without? Coconut oil - 100% natural. It's under £5 and the only thing I use.'

Her biggest beauty splurge was a dyson hair dryer

When asked about her biggest Beauty spend, Flowerovlove revealed, 'I do love the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. I also bought a head massage for hair growth. I have no idea where it's from, but that was probably my biggest splurge.'

Flowerovlove also confessed to having a soft spot for a more affordable beauty staple, saying, 'Cheapest beauty obsession? Definitely Black Jamaican castor oil on the eyebrows and eyelashes – for sure! I have such long lashes because of that.'

Her go-to lip liner is from glossier

Lastly, she mentioned a makeup must-have, stating, 'Your makeup bag wouldn't be the same without… My Glossier lip liner. I love a lip liner.'
